Have you ever thought about which is better, sunny or rainy weather? I like both, but too many days in a row of sun or rain can be a pain. Rain without sun, or vice versa, keeps things from growing. Rain makes the roots of plants wet, which promotes growth. Have you seen a plant who’s feet (roots) are kept too wet? It yellows and dies. Conversely, a plant that gets too much sun browns, withers, and dies. Too much of a good thing is just as bad as too little.
Plants are a lot like people: they grow or wither from too much or too little attention. A well-timed compliment can cause a person to beam sunshine and grow. Too many compliments begin to sound hollow and have no impact on their recipient. Working hard without a compliment can make the task unbearable. Without notice or attention to our hard work, we can shut down and lack motivation.
See? People and plants are so alike! Make sure you feed and water the plants around you sufficiently, but not too much. Unfortunately, that line is different for each person, but it is well worth the effort to find it. Be the magic. Fertilize your mind and life, as well as those of the people around you. Help them beam and grow. You’ll find it impacts not only yourself, but those you like and love.
